VLOG is a volunteer company expanding access to classically-rooted musical theatre within the modern NYC community, providing hands-on theatrical experience to our members and joy to our audiences.
THE VLOG MISSION
VLOG exists to foster appreciation of the musical arts, reimagining classic operettas and Golden Age musicals with modern themes and equitable representation that reflects the diversity of NYC today, and reviving lesser-known works to elevate underrepresented artists within this generation-spanning genre. Through semi-staged concerts and cabarets to full-scale operettas and musicals, we provide opportunities for members to hone performing, producing and creative skills while making high-quality amateur theatre accessible to the community, including the elderly, handicapped, and economically disadvantaged.
