Sergeant Meryl conspires with his children, Phoebe and Leonard, to rescue Colonel Fairfax. Leonard will hide, while Fairfax takes his place in the Yeomen of the Guard. With the life of her love at stake, Leonard is suspicious of Phoebe's newfound devotion.
