Shannon Gaffney is a singer, actor, writer, and dramaturg, currently pursuing her M.A in Dramaturgy at the New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study. She graduated from Manhattanville College with her BFA in Musical Theatre and her BA in Creative Professional Writing. At Manhattanville, she was awarded the Sister Margaret Williams Prize for Literary Criticism. Recently, Shannon served as a copy editor for the second edition release of Flop Musicals of the Twenty-First Century: How They Happened, When They Happened (And What We’ve Learned) by Stephen Purdy. As a performer, she sings with the Opera Collective of New York City, and she has worked with Amore Opera, Utopia Opera, and Village Light Opera Group.
