Diego Alejandro González [he.they+] is an NYC-based theater-maker and multidisciplinary artist by way of the México-Texas border. Diego co-founded BORDERLANDS, a cultural arts company centering art and artists rooted in Nepantla. Diego was the SDCF Shadow Recipient on Broadway’s HADESTOWN, a Drama League Directors Project Member & Fellowship Recipient, a Mercury Store Directing Technique recipient, and a proud SDC Associate Member. Direction/Choreography credits: Natasha, Pierre and The Great Comet of 1812 (NYU/New Studio on Broadway); NEW OPERA LAB (Tisch Grad MT Writing Program); ¡DESPIERTA! an ARTS FOR EVERYBODY new musical (Choreo./Assoc. Dir.); Guadalupe: un recuerdo, Peter/Starcatcher (Dir./Writer, Thirteen O'Clock). Assisting/Associate credits: La Broa' (Trinity Rep); Twelfth Night (PUBLIC WORKS, The Public). Film and documentary directing credits: "WHAT DO I STAND FOR?" and "REVOLUTION" (Lawrence Community Township).

Group/The Bushwick Starr/Abrons Arts Center); ON THE MOVE (The Civilians); Call My Name (Tectonic Theater Project); Doublespeak (Thirteen O'Clock); and Pablo y Pedro (University of Texas Rio Grande Valley).Diego is the Creative Director at Dance Lab New York, was the Associate Artistic Director for Thirteen O'Clock Theater for the 2015/16 season in the Rio Grande Valley, and has most recently worked with the staff at Ars Nova, The Public, Roundabout Theater Company, and Tectonic Theater Project. They have collaborated with WP Theater, The Civilians, ¡OYE! Group, Hi-ARTS, and Abrons Arts Center.
