Matt Everingham
MUSIC DIRECTOR
Matthew Everingham (he/him) is a New Zealand-born, New York-based music director, pianist, arranger and conductor. Recent U.S highlights include work with Roundabout Theatre Company, Royal Carribean Productions (Hairspray, Grease), Hangar Theatre (Billy Elliot, Cabaret), Feinstein’s/54 Below (Miss America Sings Broadway), Weathervane Theatre (Little Shop of Horrors), Northern Stage (The Sound of Music), Tibbits Opera House (Next to Normal - BroadwayWorld Nominee), Birdland, and Green Room 42. New Zealand highlights include Wicked, Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Chicago, Jesus Christ Superstar, Mary Poppins, and Legally Blonde. He holds a Bachelor of Music/Laws with Honors (University of Canterbury), a diploma in piano performance from Trinity College London, and studied film scoring at NYU Steinhardt. Matt is thrilled to be returning to Village Light Opera as music director for The Baker’s Wife after music directing VLOG’s A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder last season at The Flea.Â
