KATE FITZGERALD
Kate Elizabeth FitzGerald, soprano, is thrilled to perform in her second production with VLOG. Her first performance with the company was Iolanthe. She enjoys singing opera (especially Italian repertoire, including Verdi and Puccini), musical theater, and improv comedy. She has performed several times at Carnegie Hall with the choir Essential Voices USA. Favorite roles have included the title roles of Rosaura in Life is a Dream, and April in the premiere of The Orchard, Handkerchief and Carbon Copyists. She has also enjoyed acting under the direction of John Buñuel in his films, including as a vampire killer in The Vampire. She looks forward to performing this summer as Madame Matriarch in a filmed production of Any Which Way Thou Woulds’t Have It (an English restoration comedy). Kate enjoys working with children, and teaches Kindergarten through Fifth grade Spanish. In her free time, Kate loves to hike, travel, practice yoga and learn new languages.
