Our coven has prepared a tale for you.

 

The opera was devised by the entire company:

It is a gothic fable about a demon

We’ve all met before.

 

The more he bleeds, the more he lives

He never forgets and he never forgives.

 

There’s a reason why evil is sensual,

Why rage seems powerful,

Why revenge tastes so sweet.

 

When the world has wronged us,

When the systems fail us,

When our governors betray us,

When they separate our families,

Make our communities suffer, cut and bleed us open,

What will we do with these open wounds?

 

To seek revenge may lead to hell – but our futures don't have to be written in blood.

While revenge is caged in her loop every time this story is retold for a new audience,

We can make the choice to break her curse.
